Rihanna will sing at the Super Bowl: how and where to see the show

Rihanna is working her butt off on her Super Bowl halftime show and she’s so focused he almost forgot his birthday and Valentine’s Day.

Rihanna has promised that this Sunday, February 12, will be a show full of music and other elements.

“The lineup was the biggest challenge. That was the hardest. The hardest part, deciding how to maximize 13 minutesbut also celebrating, that’s what this show is going to be about, it’s going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best possible way,” the singer said.

His first show in seven years

Previewed for media on Thursday, ahead of Sunday’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs The pop superstar and new mom said her turnout, her first live event in seven years, feels “like it could only be now.”

When you become a mother, something happens that makes you feel like you can conquer the world, that you can do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, Rihanna said. There is something exciting about the challenge that accompanies all of this.

Awarded nine Grammys, Rihanna has had 14 songs atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including we found Love, Work, umbrella AND I disturb. She and rapper A$AP Rocky recently had their first baby.

Eventually, if it fails or succeeds, it will have my name on it. So I’m really involved in every aspect of everything I do, she said.

The halftime show’s new sponsor, Apple Music, held a moderated event Thursday where reporter Nadeska Alexis was the only one allowed to ask Rihanna questions.

A long list of artists

Rihanna joins a list of celebrated artists who have performed at the Super Bowl halftime show including Beyoncé, Madonna, Coldplay, Katy Perry, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and The Weeknd. Last year hip hop was celebrated with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar performing together.

Rihanna refused to appear at halftime in 2019 out of solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. But he said the timing and circumstances were right for her on this occasion.

Country star Chris Stapleton will perform the national anthem, while R&B legend Babyface will sing America the beautiful. Actress and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph will also sing Raise every voice and sing. When asked which team she was going to on Sunday, Ralph said they supported the Eagles while Stapleton and Babyface said they supported Rihanna.

Oscar-winning deaf actor Troy Kosur will perform the national anthem in American Sign Language. Colin Denny will play America the beautiful AND Raise every voice and sing It will be managed by Justina Miles.

Apple Music replaced Pepsi this year after a decade as a halftime sponsor. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but according to analysts, the league is expected to bring in at least $50 million annually for the rights.

The party and the show of Rihanna (who will sing her hits Work and Umbrella, among those confirmed) can be seen in Argentina from 20:30 on the screens of Star +, ESPN 2 and ESPN Extra.
