The most controversial participant in this edition of Big Brother (Telefe) continues to arouse love and hate, already away from home. “It’s a one-of-a-kind experience,” eliminated Walter “Alfa” Santiago says of his time in reality. “I thought it was something else, but it’s like when you go to Disney or see the Eiffel Tower, no matter how many people tell you, when you’re there it’s not the same: the house eats you up“.
The participant who gave the most speeches e divided the waters between those who defend him to the death and those who defend him with the same zeal, he assures that many of his unfortunate statements about the other participants (regarding fatness, sexuality, among other things) have to do with saying passing things .
“When you’re in a meeting with friends and comments are made that sometimes aren’t right, they are things that are said in passing, quickly. It’s kind of the same thing, but there you don’t have cameras and microphones recording everything, “minimize. “That’s why I don’t regret or stop regretting anything.”
Authentic, for better or for worse
Alfa ensures that, during the four months spent in solitary confinement, he never created a character. “It’s always been me, since I was 20 I’ve been wearing scarves and ripped jeans, for example.” Entering reality, he insists, was a personal challenge. “At 60 I said, see what happens, I want to live this experience and already at the first casting I felt that he had stayed”.
And he adds: “When the first broadcast of Big Brother20 years ago, I looked at it and thought ‘what madness to be there‘ and now, when a friend told me, ‘you are for this game‘, the sentence stuck in my mind and I immediately knew I was about to enter”.
The participant says that he had no prospects of becoming famous, but now enjoys the recognition of the people. “I carry that affection with me, it means that I will have done something right”. Alfa admits he’s surprised by the repercussions his visit to the house has had. “Inside you have no idea what is generated outside, I never imagined that could happen. I can not believe it.”
However, the popularity that reality TV gave him further encouraged him to continue with his project: “I have the dream of making a film and I’m writing the story of my life.” Who would be the lead actor? “And who do you think? Me! I always wanted to act, already at school I was a clownI’ve always liked making people laugh.”
The man of a thousand stories
Many times, from social networks, he was asked if the thousand anecdotes of his life that he told during childbirth were real or if he was exaggerating. “Some stories I made up, yes“, he admits. “I did it at one point so that the other would react. But 95% is true and I can verify them. I was touched by the magic wand.”
Speaking of various love stories with famous women, which he has also told in recent months at home and which many of them have come out to deny, he says: “Well, it could be… If they say so”.
Among the people he mentions during the interview is Susana GiménezPiero, Maria Marta Serra Lima, Litto Nebbia, racing driver Carlos Pairetti and the Gypsy Kings, among others. “Every night I thank God,” he says.
In relation to the many clashes he had with other participants (Ariel, Maxi, Conejo, la Tora, Marcos, Romina) he assures: “I didn’t enter the reality show to look for friends. After a period of living together you can have more or less affinity with the people, but don’t create ties”.
Long-winded and vehement, as seen at home, Alpha says making a true friendship takes a long time. “Two years ago I was operated on for neck cancer and I almost died. And those who were there were my friends and my brother, they are the unconditional ones”.
His relationship with Camilla
As for his relationship with Camila, which many have criticized, he clarifies: “It’s all been turned upside down because some people are looking for a show, they are looking for trash. But that’s how it is.” and guarantees it with the 21-year-old participant from Ituzaingó, she is the only one he would continue to be in contact with outside the home. “I’d love to meet your family and maybe share a moment.”
Although, during the debate leading Santiago Del Moro, this Monday he said he wanted the reality show to be won by Romina, now he has changed his mind. “Analyzing from the outside, I would like Camila to win so that she can help her family.”
According to Alfa, his game was to be himself and he defines himself as “messed up, bastard, without half measures”. And he says: “Perhaps because of my way of being, someone was moved. I didn’t look for alliances, because only one wins this match”.
This is why he insists on one thing: “I wasn’t paying attention to the cameras, You can’t live watching cameras 24 hours a day, it’s impossible. And the house brings out the good and the bad in your personality,” she says. “I entered to make it to the finals. Because I always finish what I start. But at one point I found myself exhausted and felt like my participation was already over.”
As the oldest participant of all editions of GHAlfa assures that his stay in the house served to demonstrate that age doesn’t matter in making dreams come true. “There’s no deadline or expiration date for people,” she says. “If you feel like it, you can keep doing anything until the last day of your life.. I tried to show it to older people.”
In the middle of the speech, Alfa adds another anecdote. “I missed reading clarion because I learned to read at the age of 5, with the newspaper, in bed with my dad”, she assures. “What I missed most at home was the car, the motorbike and reading the newspaper. Now I can’t believe I read a note of mine in the paper.”
Once this edition of Big Brother and after the effervescence generated by the reality show, Alfa assures that he will return to his former life, as it is. And he says, “I’m going to share with my friends, with cars, I’m going to catch the sun, I’m going to keep going to the same places. GH it will be a very strong test and one more experience in my life”. In case there were any doubts, he says: “The subject of life is My way“.
