The Mandalorian, third season: what you need to know before the premiere of the Disney + series

The next Wednesday 1st March opens inside Disney+ the third season of Star Wars: The Mandalorianthe successful Lucasfilm original series that marked a before and after in the saga of Star Wars.

In eight new episodes, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) continues his adventures with Grogu, meeting old allies and making new enemies at every turn.

an immediate furor

The first and second seasons of Star Wars: The Mandalorian They arrived on Disney+ in Latin America in November 2020, as part of the launch of the streaming service in the region.

The story begins five years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Galactic Empire and introduces the newest and most iconic character of Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal), a lone bounty hunter making his way across the galaxyaway from the authority of the New Republic.

The plot begins when Greef Karga gives him a mission to collect a 50-year-old target, but to his surprise, he finds a boy, as the race he belongs to has a different way of aging than humans. Djarin must reunite little Grogu with his kind, an order of sorcerers called the Jedi. Along the way, the inseparable duo face all sorts of threats that jeopardize the fate of Grogu and the mission of the Mandalorian.

the second season finds Din Djarin still on a mission to bring Grogu to the Jedi to begin his training. On her way, she meets Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), but she refuses to keep the baby because she says the suffering and fear she has endured could determine her future in the Force.

He gives the Mandalorian one last hope, telling him to take him to Titan, a planet where one of the first temples of the Jedi Order is located. At the top of the mountain, Grogu manages to connect with the Force to find his fate. Thus, in the last episode of the season, he meets Luke Skywalker, (Mark Hamill) in what is considered one of the most memorable appearances in the history of the saga.

The last scene reveals the man behind the helmet, who greets the boy with deep sadness seeing him continue his journey in Luke’s arms.

Boba Fett’s book

One year after the start of Star Wars: The Mandalorianat the end of December 2021 the series arrived on Disney+ Boba Fett’s book temporarily docked after the events of season 2’s Star Wars: The MandaloriaNO.

The seven-episode story explores the scenario of the power vacuum following the disappearance of Jabba the Hutt. The action is transported to the criminal side of the Galaxy with bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), who return to Tatooine to reclaim their right to the territory that had been under their rule of Jabba and his crime syndicate.

Episode 5 of the series pauses the Fett and Shand storyline to focus on Din Djarin, who has turned Grogu over to the Jedi and, towards the end of the episode, accepts Shand’s offer to join their ranks in the army of Fett to face the Pyke Syndicate.
