After his successful stint at FIBA, he premiered “Terco”, the new stage creation by Marcelo Savignone, which is presented at the San Martín Cultural Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in March and April at 8pm.
Difficult to classify, the work has music by Pedro Aznarchoreography by Luciana Acuña and a cast that deals with various disciplines interpreting “Terco” a private show. This time, the creator of ‘Cruel’, ‘Cuerpo’ and ‘De Interpretatione’, among other works, writes, directs, acts, sings and dances, blurring the boundaries of various genres and artistic languages with the cast of him.
“The intention is to go back to the roots of the theater craft, those terrific beginnings where things happen not for just one reason but for many, including the body. It is to stage a work that appeals to those who are not labeled “Savignone says.
The voices and the sound, the performances, the choreographic paths while the classic texts emerge and intertwine with the present, plus a performance that seduces with its almost cinematographic aesthetics, are created by a cast led by Savignone himself and Flor Otero, as well as Sofía Gonzalez Gil, Belén Santos, Valentín Mederos, Guido Napolitano, Milagros Coll and Priscila Lombardo.
Based on an autobiographical experience, “Terco” deals with the limits of the body over time. A perspective of the many ways of talking about the passage of time, narrating in the reveries of those who are going through their last moments.
“Stubborn is a play that speaks the perseverance of a body to live and how time limits us in that struggle. Through the work, we try to explore this notion in an innovative and exciting way, and we believe that the public will appreciate the experience”, concludes Savignone.
