The African striker has scored all of his goals in a span of time 3 minutes and 24 seconds take the ball home and set a new all-time record. The match, corresponding to the second leg, had nothing defined, given that they had drawn 1-1 in the first leg.

30 minutes into the first half, Orban received a pass from Hong Hyun-seok, inside the box, and defined with the goal almost at his mercy. Barely a minute and a half later, he took a long shot, imbued with violence, and again noted his surname on the scoreboard. But good things come in threes: twenty-four seconds after the clock marked 33 minutes of play, the Nigerian shot from the right, but the ball hit the legs of Babacan, goalkeeper of the Turkish team. However, the rebound fell back and, with his left leg, reached his record.

In European competitions, Orban set a record, but not globally. The most triplet strict of the history of professional football is in the hands of Sadio Mané. In 2015, when the current Bayern Munich player wore the Southampton shirt, it took him two minutes and fifty-six seconds to score three goals for Aston Villa.

Lucas Biglia was the one who witnessed – and suffered – Orban’s goals closely. The former central midfielder of Independiente and the Argentina national team was a regular in the Turkish team and saw the yellow card. His team was eliminated.

Who is Dono Orban?

Gift Emmanuel Orban, 20-year-old Nigerian striker, is the great revelation of the Belgian championship. Despite arriving in January, their numbers and performances are outstanding. KAA Gent, a team occupying the fifth position of the Belgian Pro League, paid $3 million for his signature.

Since his arrival he has played 9 games and scored 12 goals. The great peculiarity is that he has scored 7 goals in the last two games: 4 goals in the duel against Zulte-Waregem, for the Belgian tournament, and another 3 against Basaksehir, for the Conference League.

Orban, who grew up between Nigeria and Togo, began training at Bison FC, but his condition caught the attention of scouts from Norwegian second division side Stabaek. Throughout 2022, he performed in the Nordic team and had an amazing performance. In total, he played 24 games, scored 19 goals and provided 7 assists.

No doubt the Nigerian will be a player to watch and if he continues at his high level, surely many European clubs will set their sights on him and look to sign him for the next transfer market or, failing that, for the following season.
