A little over a year after the death of journalist and host Gerardo Rozín, who died on March 11, 2022, the City of Rosario organized a ceremony this Saturday in tribute to the TV host in his hometown.
“We invite you to participate in the ceremony of tribute to Gerardo Rozín”, indicates the flyer that bears the approval of the mayor of Rosario, commanded by Rozín’s personal friend, Pablo Javkin.
The activity in honor of the deceased driver will start at 5.30 pm in Spain Park, Specifically, they will meet at the intersection of Salta and Av. del Huerto streets.
The farewell that the driver left written
A year after Gerardo Rozín’s painful departure, his relatives remembered him on social networks, where they spread a message that the driver had written after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Elena and Pedro, Rosario’s children, and their mothers, Carmela Bárbaro and Mariana Basualdo, released a text that the TV host wrote in April 2021, after the doctors informed him of the diagnosis of his illness.
In the letter, Gerardo recounts his emotions when he discovered he was ill, assures him that he will leave happy and remembers the people who have passed through his life.
“I’ll keep saying that I’m happy. That I have a ten-year-old daughter and a twenty-year-old son, and I’m about to die knowing that I leave them with the certainty that they were loved. Much loved. They have values to embrace and to discuss , but they don’t start without ideas. It’s a lot. We have been people to laugh a lot, we like irony and not sarcasm. We have many thanks for having done together, but it is known that these farewells leave empty spaces, “said Rozín.
The producer passed away on Friday evening, March 11th. A few days before his death, it was revealed that he was in serious condition and that he had been sedated at home with his family.
His departure caused a cataract of messages on social networks. From Abel Pintos to Lali Espósito, who have passed by La peña de Morfi during the different seasons, have expressed their condolences.
Meanwhile, Carmela Bárbaro, Mariana Basualdo and Eugenia Quibel, his three life partners, fired him with emotional posts on their respective Instagram accounts.
