Hot Wheels live-action to be produced by Bad Robot, company of JJ Abrams
Hot Wheels, famous toy brand, will win a movie live action produced by Bad Robot, a JJ Abramsin partnership with Warner Bros.
According to Variety, there are still no names attached to the project, but, according to Bad Robot, the purpose of the production is to honor the “imagination, passion and fearless spirit” in Elliot Handlercreator of the stroller brand.
“Before Hot Wheels became the global household name it is today, it was the dream of Elliot Handler, who was inventing and building toy cars at home in his Southern California garage.”, declared the producer of Abrams when announcing the film.
Mattel, the company that owns Hot Wheels, said in a statement that the cars “have awakened the defiant spirit in car enthusiasts for generations”. According to the brand, Abrams, Bad Robot and Warner will tell a “exciting story for the big screen” with the new production.
There is still no forecast for the start of production on the live-action Hot Wheels.
