Released last Friday, the film narrates the biggest financial scandal in Quebec history, like a thriller. François Arnaud plays the famous tie bandit Vincent Lacroix, and Vincent-Guillaume Otis plays Éric Asselin, an investigator who plays a key role in the Norbourg affair, but is hidden in the shadows.

The film is directed by Maxime Giroux (Felix and Meira, 2014) and written by Simon Lavoie. She runs in six categories at the Gala Québec Cinéma, competing for the Iris awards for best film, best director, best actor in a leading role (Vincent-Guillaume Otis), best female performance in a support (Christine Beaulieu, for best cinematography and best editing.

norbourg was interested in the technical aspects of the shenanigans that made it possible to steal 130 million dollars from 9000 victims. The screenwriter wants to lift the veil under the scandal, and its main architect, unknown to the public, Éric Asselin.

The film’s success came after a difficult start to the year for the film industry in Quebec. The theaters, which will be closed at the end of 2021, will remain closed until February 7th.
