Jimin became the first BTS to be #1 in the US

Passed the “Gangnam style”

Just like BTS were the first k-pop group to top the Billboard Hot 100 Dynamitewhich Jimin debuted with like crazythe main theme of his album face at the top of the graph.

Previously, the record for the highest-charting Korean solo artist on the Hot 100 was held by PSY for the success of gangnam stylewhich was in second place for seven weeks in 2012.

In its first week of release, March 24-31, like crazy sold 254,000 downloads of the song and single, and added 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay.

The Billboard Hot 100 is a ranking that sums up the results in streaming, sales and radio airplay for the week. In Jimin’s case, the biggest hit has been in digital sales. In fact, Billboard posted that the song also took number one on the Digital Song Sales chart.

The stats took into consideration the original Korean version, the English version and the Deep House and UK Garage remixes, as well as an instrumental version. They are all sold on BTS’ official website for 69 cents.

Combined sales of all Like crazy releases are the highest since anti hero Taylor Swift sold 328,000 in November of last year.

The album was number 2

Another major commercial accomplishment for Jimin is entry into the Billboard 200 chart, which reflects the most popular albums in the United States, accounting for physical, digital, and streaming equivalent sales.

The disc face it reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 in its first week.

BTS solo hit

Before Jimin, no member of BTS had made it to the top of the Hot 100, although all seven artists (J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jung Kook, RM, Suga and V.) had singles.
