Celeste Cid was consulted on the report of sexual abuse that Lucas Benvenuto made against Jey Mammón, detained in a hotel in Madrid, and took the opportunity to tell a personal experience he had in justice.
“Themes like this always have an impact, regardless of whether it is a well-known person or not. It is very difficult for me to pass judgment on something so delicate, given that what I think is good is to listen to a person who is in principle the victim of a situation, to listen This seems to me the first thing,” the actress replied when the notary Santiago Riva Roy asked her about the accusation against the comedian.
So after noticing that for her the current laws are “totally patriarchal” and are “based on a model of society” that she does not like, Cid told in show partners (El Trece, 10.30 am) his experience in Justice when He went to file a harassment complaint.
“It happened to me a while ago, a couple of months I’d tell you, I didn’t tell you much because it’s not that important, but I had to file a complaint about some kind of harassment I got from a person through the networks many years, I’ve never seen that person personally,” he explained.
And I add: “The fifth time I had to tell the complaintand my case was not an important case or a violent harassment, yes intense but not violent, I happened to think that: yes to me, which is not something that does not touch any too intimate and sensitive fiber, It costs me five times to reinforce a claim, a person who has been through a place of great pain like that, there is a time when It’s badly designed.”
In this sense, the plaintiff assured that for her the complainant should have told the situation “once” and nothing more, to avoid a new victimization. “Then of course you investigate and collapse, but there’s something wrong, something’s wrong, it can’t be five”He insisted.
It should be remembered that in the case of Benvenuto, the young man denounced Jey Mammón for sexual abuse which allegedly took place when, according to his account, he was 14 years old. In that case, however, the Judge rejected his accusation because the time necessary to dictate the statute of limitations had already passed.
What is Celeste Cid’s harassment complaint about?
In March 2019, Cid exposed a man who left him totally obscene messages on his Instagram account, where he has more than 2.6 million followers and usually shows his daily life.
At the time, the actress shared an unfortunate message and warned: “Warned idiot, writes awful comments, even on his own photos. To block”.
He text he had received, totally unreproducible, was sexual in nature and referenced something the man would have seen in a photo of the artist.
Although from that moment Cid has no longer referred to that episode, given the recurrence of the messages received, it seems that Celeste has decided to file a complaint with Justice.
