The Vélez stadium did not seem completely full, but it should be noted that last Friday’s show was added by the organizing producer of the event not too long ago, after quickly running out of tickets for the concert that the artist will develop this Saturday evening.

In addition to presenting songs from his latest album, Romeo Santos He toured his great consecrating hits, virtually non-stop and with minimal dancing on his part from above the tables.

The beginning

Although the concert was announced for 21:00, the American singer of Dominican origins (his parents are) recently claimed to have been present on stage, riding in the Amalfitans close to 22:00, to start an endless stream of bachata and reggaetonaccompanied by a small group of musicians in the back and to his right, with notable roles for his male and female choristers, great supports in his interpretation in some passages of the recital, generating remarkable duets.

Apart from the fact that many of his songs are very famous, partly because they have been playing constantly both on the radio and in nightclubs for years, the public has followed every verse carefully, singing in unison almost as loud as the sound of the dark-skinned singer-songwriter born in the Bronx, a seedy neighborhood in New York, 41 years ago.

The preview of his repertoire had as the main protagonist DJMadwho was tasked with warming up the evening for an hour, musicalizing/covering the landmarks of the bowling world across his platters, but at the same time encouraging the crowd to make the stadium look like a sky disco open.

Those who accompany Santos with trays throughout his world tour achieved their goal as a warm-up, generating adrenaline and even anxiety in the audience, which was mostly female and aged between 25 and 35 (with a few exceptions).

Inside the chaotic entrance to the stadium (it was quite messy) you could see some Dominicans living in Buenos Aires, all in small groups of friends, very sectoralized on their own.

Is that many of them are also responsible for the success of this American artist in Argentina: at least 15 years ago, many of them were the first to promulgate the songs of El Rey de la Bachata within the dance clubs of the city of Buenos Aires Aries.

It didn’t take long for that impact to reverberate in other nocturnal redoubts in Buenos Aires and then become immortal hits.

Within the visual terrain has attracted attention the preeminence of the lights from two aspects: the first was exercised by the public, since most of those present wore crowns of colored lights that went on and off on their heads. In addition to illuminating the stadium far and wide, what happened without having been premeditated was pleasant.

Moreover, The stage light kit was high endto the point of becoming the highest point of the bet of the evening, because the sound has never been fully indulged and in turn Romeo Santos was not fully motivated despite having given everything from the vocal field, which is undoubtedly his forte and more than enough reason to have achieved worldwide fame.

Between songs and messages, 33 songs were the big shock for the fans, because so many cascade of shots was the necessary antidote for those fans who wanted this reunion with their idol, who they have followed since the first hours and who had already accompanied so many times in their multiplied recitals at the River Plate, at the Estadio Único de La Plata, at several GEBA and even the Hipódromo de Palermo, up to this one present on the field of the Liniers club.

Songs

The first stanzas of Handkerchief Li played his beautiful female chorister, in charge of receiving the foreign announcer, who was completely illuminated by a clear light: Romeo was dressed in a cream-colored shirt and wide blue trousers with white stripes, as well as brown shoes and slow dark.

From then on, the world-famous artist continued with songs like La Diabla, you are mine AND Seawhose interpretation was accompanied by a placid image of a standing tide, with a background of sky and pink clouds.

A few minutes later, after singing six songs, Santos just spoke for the first time: “Good evening, Buenos Aires, they didn’t come here to talk, they came here to sing”, condemned the artist as a way to agitate his Argentinean audience.

Still clutching a gold-plated microphone in one hand, the star walked from one side of the stage to the other, but without infecting the dance from the tabletops: a motif that attracted attention.

However, for promise, a song from his first album, through a gesture with the other hand he asked people to jump and that happened immediately. It was just when her male showgirl shone brilliantly accompanying the bachatero.

“Honestly, my favorite place to sing is Argentina because of its atmosphere. There are many people driving and drinking. Let’s see, it’s drinking or driving, not both. Let’s enjoy the bachata. I want to make a special toast to Argentina,” the singer exulted, then toasted with a glass of dark, matching rum. I drinkof the license plate that he came to present in Buenos Aires.

Beside him was a high table with the bottle in view. At the end of the song, Santos, neither dumb nor lazy, took the bottle with one of his hands and took a good swig from the spout, behind the backs of his audience, who applauded him.

“Hey, listen to Romeo’s words. I don’t know if you’ve changed your mind and aren’t leaving. If you cancel your 3 o’clock flight,” she begged in the letter bring me with youas he closely watches his female audience from the edge of the stage.

The success he recorded with Karol G

When three quarters of the show had already passed and he had already sung hits like I’m back, he wants to drink or Fakerit was the turn of the blockbuster theme called X if we come backwhich he recorded with Karol G, which they both did for the famous Colombian’s latest work.

Before singing it, the vocalist spoke to the audience again: “They say that in Argentina when women love a song they learn it quickly and it becomes an anthem in two days. It is true? Let’s see,” she said as if to test hers, to see if they knew her.

Though he sang much of the song with the voice of the coffeepot in the background in the parts he was to play, this tall singer with remarkable seriousness on his face stopped the music and was dissatisfied with the chorus of people, then proclaiming more clamor yours for yours.

“Okay, I ask a question. To be honest. Do you have an exemplary and loving mother-in-law? set to give way to Mother in lawwhich is part of his latest license plate.

During the rest of the concert, there were more words, less words, songs from the steps of a small ladder on the same board, approaching his audience through the front walkway, a capella songs, successful bachata hits and a finale with His footprints AND Indecent Proposalwhose video he recorded in Buenos Aires and starts with the sound of a bandoneon to transform his music into dance.

Romeo Santos, in the first of his doubles in Buenos Aires, was synonymous with the need to sing with his presence, and not through a sound system in a bowling alley. Without a doubt, some of his angry fans turned out to be the biggest draw of the night. Something like the prolongation of a recital that was not only stage, but also field, popular and public.
