Martín Ortega, son of Palito and Evangelina Salazarpublished a post on your social networks lamenting the closure of a French luxury brand store in Buenos Aires and was inundated with criticism from his followers, who accused him of, among other things, being frivolous.
In the publication that he shared on his Instagram account, where twelve thousand people follow him, Martín shared a photo of Evangelina enters a Louis Vuitton storelocated in an exclusive shopping center in the Retiro district of Buenos Aires, and next to it wrote something that has generated controversy.
Is that the controversy arose from the text with which he accompanied the image. In an early version, the story began like this: “And right in front was his favorite activity. Full of anticipation, (Evangelina Salazar) asked the sellers, who were almost her friends: “Girls, has something new arrived?”
And he continued: “They looked at each other for a moment and I noticed what they didn’t know how to break the bad news. In their elegant suits (black shirts with standing collars and woven necklaces), they would look at my mother and say: ‘Eva, not only has nothing new arrived, but we are about to close'”.
Later, the eldest son of the popular Tucuman artist wrote, “My mother, petrified, almost unable to believe what she was hearing, said to them, ‘Really?’ and her eyes shone like when she’s about to drop a tear.I looked at her and put my arm around her little shoulder. My mom had the worst news of the day, maybe the whole week.”
The criticisms were not long in coming.for the most part, stressed the lack of connection with the Argentine reality and the frivolity of regretting the closure of the premises of an international luxury store, to which few citizens have access.
For example, a user named Mabel told him: “I adore your parents, but at this critical time in the country, that business is for the privileged. I’m sorry to the employees, but… how many minimum wages are needed to buy the cheapest thing in the industry? Think. Kisses to the family.”
After reading it, Julieta Ortega’s brother replied: “I’ll help you, see if you can understand, for a public woman with my mother’s characteristics, that almost feel an obligation to look as expectedthere aren’t many options other than turning to certain brands. It’s part of being who he is, as the popular saying is “a gajo.” [sic] of the profession'”.
Other followers have chosen humor and have left comments like: “Don’t worry, I think there are very good imitations in La Salada”, “I would take this opportunity to start a business called LV: Luis Ventura”, “There are cheap replicas in Once” or “I want to have those problems”. .
The clarification that came later
Faced with the negative expressions, Martín Ortega decided add a section at the beginning of the controversial text, to avoid misunderstandings.
“Warning: The following story is fictionalized, it is closer to poetry and humor. It’s a game that shouldn’t be taken literally,” added the eldest son of the Ortega clan to contextualize his story and avoid it being misinterpreted.
And towards the end of the publication, the producer added a thank you to Mía Flores Pirán, ex-wife of his brother Luis Ortega and daughter of Ginette Reynal: “Thanks to @miaflorespiran for collaborating on this text.”
