May 27, 2016 was the day Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married from private suffering to public spectacle which is detrimental to their professional careers.

Heard, who filed for divorce, came to a Los Angeles court to seek a temporary restraining orderdisplays the a punch mark on his face that he said Depp did to him six days ago. Photographers captured the scene and the accusations became fodder for tabloids around the world.

Depp said he did not hit him, and Heard is now being sued for defamation in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Today, Wednesday, the jury heard the case the police rushed immediately to the couple’s penthouse after the fight. None of the officers saw the red mark that was so bright six days later.

Official Tyler Haddenone of the agents who went to the couple’s residence on May 21, 2016, He said Heard refused to speak to officers and showed no signs of injury, though he acknowledged he was crying and blushing..

“Reddened Cheeks and Eyes”

“Just because you see a woman with red cheeks and red eyes doesn’t mean something happened,” Hadden said in a recorded statement played out to the jury today.

Johnny Depp had already left the penthouse when police arrived.. Officials said that they had no idea who Heard was or that she was married to Depp. He added that neither Heard nor anyone in the building where the penthouse is located did not want to tell him or the other officers who Heard’s wife was.

The jury heard similar testimony Tuesday from an agent who accompanied Hadden to the penthouse.

A police officer who made a follow-up visit that night, William Gatlin, testified that he also saw no injuries, although he admitted that his visit was short and he did not arrive within 3 meters (10 feet) from Heard. He said his verification was quick because it appears the call was just a duplicate of one that Hadden had already answered.

The jury viewed body camera video of Gatlin’s response, which lasted less than two minutes. What is heard can only be seen from afar.

Heard’s lawyers, in their questions, suggested that the actress could cover up her injuries with makeup, because at the time she still wanted to protect Depp. They also asked officers why they had not yet investigated a possible case of domestic violence.

The officers’ testimony is some of Depp’s best evidence that Heard fabricated the accusations against his ex-wife.. Fills in the previous testimony of witnesses say they saw Heard and his sister practicing fake punches in the days after the attack.

However, this is far from certain. Heard’s lawyers have not yet filed their case, and some of his friends said they were in the penthouse when Depp allegedly attacked him.

Although jurors ruled that Depp never assaulted his wife on May 21, they heard evidence of other alleged attacks before and during the couple’s brief marriage.

Depp sued Heard for defamation after he wrote a Washington Post op-ed in 2018 in which he referred to himself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.”

The article did not mention Depp’s name, but his lawyers said it defamed him because it was a clear reference to the widely publicized allegations Heard made when he filed for divorce in 2016 and also got temporary restraining order. Source: MATTHEW BARAKAT/AP.
