Word from your manager
“It is a news channel rather than an opinion channel. TN builds impressiveness through broad coverage,” explained a clarion Ricardo Ravanelli, head of news direction of Artear (all TN and El trece news).
And he clarifies that “although he has always made big numbers, his brand lies more in the contents than in the drivers. The channel’s DNA is made up of coverage, distribution and breaking news” (Last moment).
Radishes He joined the company in 1993 in various journalistic roles, before TN had its debut. And today he stands before the signal that, according to his understanding, “proposes and get closeness from the federal. This has been one of the premises of the channel since its creation”.
And he feels that, three decades after it first aired, the channel”stays true to its essence. And that in this context of the country we find ourselves in a difficult moment to inform in the traditional way. The public sometimes requests an opinion, a position and in this framework we must remain attentive to the ideals of objectivity”.
What will the celebrations look like on screen?
This Thursday 1, as a celebration for 30 years from TN, two audiovisual campaigns will be released, whose contents will rotate throughout the day. one will be “30 facts that used to be news and are now history” (such as the trial for the crime of María Soledad Morales, the crisis of 2001, the election of the Pope, among other things his own service).
The other, playing with the identity of the signal built from two letters that represent both “all the news” AS “All of us”, To be a campaign that will show the faces of those who are part of the channel in all its areas, playing with its initials.
Also This June 1, the Argentine mission will beginby Paula Bernini, who will record the journey of the journalist, aboard a fully equipped bus, from the south to the north of Argentina. Your first departure will be from Río Gallegos.
In addition, “we have organized a scholarship for advanced journalism students, from within, which they will come to train at our editorial staff invited by TN. There will be 12 studentsselected by merit, who come from the national universities of La Rioja, Misiones, Rosario, Neuquén, Mendoza and Tierra del Fuego”.
The course will start next Monday 5, it will last a week and at that time students will share “the kitchen” of cross-platform video production with the news team.
“The academic validation of this experience will be the responsibility of the University of Belgrano, which has adhered to TN’s proposal,” says Ravanelli, who leads a team made up of Mariano Thieberger (general content editor), Milena Zapata (general image editor), Exequiel Sanitz (General Manager of TN) e Patrick Caruso (general manager of TN.com).
The origin of the signal
From the beginning, and until a few years ago, the channel has been managed by Charles de Eliawhich took charge of the creation of the signal in 1993, then accompanied by Ricardo Peppino as a producer.
“It was a big challenge. It started and never stopped It’s a moving train that can’t stop. At that time there was no experience in news channels in Argentina, therefore TN was a place of education”, said De Elía clarion when 20 years of history were celebrated.
“When Lucio Pagliaro, the mentor of this, asked me to start it in October ’92, I felt great joy and at the same time like a leap into the void. You get a profile, a personality, with so many people working. In the beginning, the challenge was to get on the air,” he added in a 2013 interview.
After many trials, the first airing almost had to be postponed: the studio was very small, they couldn’t use the normal TV light because everything melted and cold light was then used, which seriously affected the eyesight of the two drivers, Mario Mazzone and Mercedes Marti. In the midst of anguish, the doctors were calm: that temporary blindness was healed in 24 hours. And the lighting was solved with a filter, which finally allowed the debut on June 1st.
During these three decades, journalists such as Santo Biasatti, María Laura Santillán, Marcelo Bonelli, Nelson Castro, Dominique Metzger, Joaquín Morales Solá, Débora Pérez Volpin, Silvia Martínez and Guillermo Wolf, among many others.
The list would be eternal. Lots of people in front and behind the scenes to build a channel that broadcasts live 24 hours a dayfrom Monday to Sunday, and so on he turns 30 celebrating from the top of the podium.
