“John Wick 4” Teaser Released at Cinemacon 2022

In addition to having its first poster released during Cinemacon 2022, which ended last Thursday (28), “John Wick 4” had an unprecedented teaser released at the Lionsgate panel, which was attended by the director. Chad Stahelski and the main character of the franchise Keanu Reeves (“Matrix”).

According to JoBlothe images opened with John Wick (Reeves) returning to training after recovering from the near-fatal injuries he sustained at the end of the previous film, “Parabellum”. He takes refuge with the character of Laurence Fishburnebut soon resurfaces in France.

Then, Bill Skarsard (“It”) appears, apparently as the new villain of the saga, and the action scenes include a fight in a nightclub, under the waters of sprinklers, and Donnie Yen (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) in action with swords, but the main highlight was Reeves killing several enemies using nunchakus.

fishburne starts the dialog by asking: “Are you ready, John?”just before the video promises that “a new day is dawning, with new ideas, new rules, new management”. Then, Wick says: “I will kill them all”, with the image cropping to the action. Eventually, you hear: “I want to find peace, John”to which some mysterious character responds: “The only place this path leads is death”.

In the fourth film in the franchise, we hope to see John as a retired assassin who returns to active duty driven by his unstoppable quest for revenge. In this new chapter of the story, he will need to fight bloodthirsty assassins who are chasing him.

The cast will still have Donnie Yen (“The great master”), Hiroyuki Sanada (“Mortal Kombat”), Shamier Anderson (“Accidental Passenger”) and singer Rina Sawayama. the duo Matt Finch (“Predators”) and Shay Hattenwho worked on “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”, take over production.

“John Wick 4” will be directed by the filmmaker Chad Stahelski and opens in theaters on March 24, 2023.
