“Ballerina” will be directed by Len Wiseman, from “Underworld”
Ana de Armas (“007 – No Time to Die”) has been confirmed to star in “Ballerina”, spin off from the “John Wick” franchise. The information is from the ComicBook.
Lionsgate announced the news during a panel at CinemaCon and also revealed that filming on “Ballerina” should begin this summer (June to August).
The direction of the film will be Len Wiseman (“Underworld”), and the screenplay will be written by Shay Hatten (“Army of the Dead”).
In the plot, we will follow a young assassin who seeks revenge against those who killed her family. The character will be an evolution of a concept presented in “John Wick 3 – Parabellum”, when Anjelica Huston was presented as the owner of a dance academy that is, in reality, a school for assassins.
“Ballerina” does not yet have a release date.
