Directed by Luis Pinheiro and Dainara Toffoli, the drama, released in 2020, tells the story of Cassandra and her hard temper for self-defense, not being patient when they speak to her in a way that might sound like a threat, after all, being an Afro-Brazilian and transgender woman in one of the most prestigious countries in the world is not an easy situation. While living a relationship with Ivaldo (Thomas Aquino), and conquering her apartment, Cassandra works as a Motogirl and also performs at her friend Roberta’s (Clodd Dias) bar.

When everything seemed to be going smoothly and going well, Leide (Karine Teles), reappears saying that Gersinho (Gustavo Coelho) is Cassandra’s son, who, in turn, is in a state of denial and has no interest in developing bonds with the boy, however. , the boy is curious to get closer to his “father” – as he calls her without malice in the course of the series -.
With hints of humor and an important theme for real life, “September Mornings” entertains the viewer during its 5 episodes, in addition to making the audience understand Cassandra’s vision and her reasons for making some decisions. Despite conveying the absence of feelings for the boy, she soon finds herself thinking about her son’s existence at all times, realizing an attachment created by him. The languages and messages of the transsexual community are represented in a real and naturalized way, connecting the viewer and making him create bonds with the characters.

Scheduled for this year, the new season will feature new cast members; Seu Jorge, Marti’nália, Ney Matogrosso and Samantha Schmütz are part of this list. In this new phase of the story, Cassandra shows us how her life turned out after so many unexpected surprises. A rapprochement with the new character Ruth (Samanta Schmütz), will be necessary for the rapprochement with her father Lourenço (Seu Jorge), whom she has not heard from for over 10 years. Cassandra will face new challenges seeing the achievements and certainties of her life falling apart.
