After securing an Emmy nomination for his performance in the series “WandaVision”, Elizabeth Olsen returns to the role of Wanda Maximoff as the protagonist of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” for another adventure again as Scarlet Witch. In an interview with On Demand Entertainment, the actress revealed that she would accept to lead a solo heroine film, but with one important condition.

According to Olsen, she would be willing to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to headline her own solo film if she “had a good story to tell” and after taking a vacation. “After a long break first?”, asked the website. “Yes, exactly, or even a little. Just a version of a break”said Elizabeth.

Olsen took on the Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch role in the post-credits scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (2014). She returned as one of the villains in “Wanda in Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), in which she served as one of Hydra’s experimental test subjects alongside her twin brother, Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). She even returned as part of Earth’s greatest group of heroes in “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) and “Avengers: Endgame”. In 2020, the actress starred in the series “WandaVision”, which marked the first partnership between Marvel and Disney+.

In “WandaVision,” the heroine created her own perfect Westview reality to live with. Eyesight (Paul Bettany), your great love. By the end of the series, she has assumed the title of Scarlet Witch, manipulating a legendary form of magic known as “chaos magic”. The series’ post-credits scene also showed her the character studying from the Darkhold of Agatha Harkness – a powerful magical grimoire that should have a significant impact on the plot of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.

While not starring in her own solo film, Wanda Maximoff promises to be a major figure in the events of the second film in the series. Supreme Wizard (Benedict Cumberbatch), which hits Brazilian cinemas on May 5th.
