Paramount+, service of streaming ViacomCBS announced that it will produce a new series with the “Jackass” troupe. According to Variety, the series will feature the original creators and follows the success of “Jackass Forever”.

“Building on the success of ‘Jackass Forever’, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics directly to Paramount+“, said Bob Bakish, CEO of Paramount Global, this Tuesday (3) to the portal.

The film debuted at the top of the box office in the United States, taking in more than US$ 80 million at the global box office, according to a survey carried out at the end of April.

“Jackass Forever” is available for purchase and rent on Apple TV, Google Play and Microsoft Store digital platforms; and for rent at NET NOW Claro, Amazon Prime Video, Sky, Apple TV, Google Play, Vivo Play, Oi and Microsoft Store. In addition, about 40 minutes of extra content will be made available.

In its origin, “Jackass” was a TV series broadcast in the 2000s by MTV. The program consisted of Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville, Preston Lacy and Ryan Dunn performing unusual and often dangerous challenges.

The show was so successful that “Jackass” won a series of movies (“Jackass”, “Jackass 2: The Movie” and “Jackass 3D”), as well as a game and a spinoff called “Jackass Presents: Grandpa Without Shame”.
