“Argentina is in ruins”, Martín Caparrós’s indignation at the messages received after the death of Jorge Dorio

Many of the aggressive replies to the tweet also accused Caparrós of some kind of lie for talking about a “best friend”, but not seeing his old partner for 25 years.

The truth is that Caparrós and Dorio They were part of two programs that remained in the minds of many fans. The first was Belgrano’s Night’s Dream, on the radio, at the return of democracy. Later, they were together in El monitor argentino.

Dorio died in the early hours of this Wednesday, aged 65, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was admitted to the Trenque Lauquen hospital, suffering from a heart attack after holding a conference in Salliqueló, in the interior of the province of Buenos Aires. There he had two stents performed and was awaiting transfer when he died.

Originally from Barracas, Dorio has hosted radio and television programs since the early 1980s. On TV he was part of cycles such as Badía y Compañía, Gran Hermano and 678, in addition to the aforementioned El Monitor Argentino, while on the radio he also participated for many years in Vengeance Will be Terrible, alongside Alejandro Dolina.

His tenure on 678, broadcast on public TV from 2009 to December 2015, was two years, having been host from 2013 until the end of its broadcast.
