Ernestina Pais had been hospitalized, of her own free will, for the entire month of last January
A month ago, in a long interview with THEY (America, 20 years old), Ernestina Pais had spoken about the painful situation that, at a given moment, led her to decide to be admitted to hospital.
“I suffered a lot from colleagues losing their jobs. I saw two colleagues die in one year. There was a lot of sadness that year and I said: ‘You know what? I allow myself this sadness.’ I said, ‘I’m going to put it all together,’ the sadnesses and the ones I’ve swept under the rug,’” she explained in that note.
“I got bored with the therapy, so I self-administered it. I was there all January. I did everything I could do to focus on trying to see, visualize how I wanted to live. I took care of it,” she added.
In the health center where she was hospitalized, together with the other patients, she practiced yoga, meditation, theater and drawing, among other things, as she explained. “He was beautiful, he lived in a cloud of farts. My friends have a theory that I went to that place to find out nothing. I got very organized there“he said in the note with THEY.
“I found the Ernestine I always was, but who, at a certain point, out of duty, continually hid my vulnerabilities. Crazy, yes, I’m vulnerable, I have these problems,” Ernestina Pais said.
“It’s not something to judge, it’s something to come together and embrace and move forward. And I highly recommend it at some point to anyone,” he said.
