Lorna Gemetto He became famous for his incredible fanaticism Susana Gimenez. Now, the woman has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and that her love for the diva has made it easier for her to deal with autism spectrum disorder.
Passing through Homeland and family (Luzu TV), Lorna talked about her private life and told how she started following Susana. “I’ve been a fan of Susana since I was little, I’ve followed her since I was ten and I’ve loved her ever since”he began to tell.
“I met her when I was 19 because I had her address from before she became famous because of Huberto (Roviralta) and my mother thought I should write her a letter and Susana replied to me,” he added. “I studied law to defend it”He added.
Guido Süller, one of the program’s hosts, wanted to know more about Lorna’s life and that’s when she made the revelation: “I live with my father. And I also think it’s time for me to confess now that my mother is gone. It turns out we already knew this a few years ago I have Asperger’s, which is like a mild form of autism, which was not known at that time and “I was considered eccentric.”
Then he explained some details of the syndrome: “The problem was when I grew up and was childish. All of us Aspergers have a topic of interest. It happens that in general these are inanimate objects, i.e. dinosaurs, trains, technology… E In my case it’s one person, it’s Susan”.
“Myself This helped me a lot because I suffered a lot of bullying., they mistreated me, I got along with both much smaller people and bigger people… with the smaller ones because I looked more like them and with the bigger ones because they had that protection, etc. And thanks to Susana I became popular. As a child I was pretty much stuck at home unless my parents took me somewhere. AND Thanks to what was generated with Susana I was able to start going out” Lorna pointed out, explaining that her fanaticism helped her move forward.
When she was diagnosed, Lorna hesitated whether to tell Susana because of something her mother had told her: “I found out I had Asperger’s years after I met Susana. And I was reluctant to tell him, because I wanted him to understand my reaction when my mother died. My mother said to me ‘why are you telling her that you have a rare mental illness, that Susana probably doesn’t even know what she is and she loves you and she accepts you as you are?’”
“So my life, in relation to what the life of someone my age and my four degrees would be, has been very affected because I have Asperger’s. So they’re out there I know very difficult theoretical topics but I don’t know how to solve something common of life and I have to ask for help,” he continued.
When asked about the possibilities that people with Asperger’s have, Gemetto replied that they are very few.
“Over there, For people who are profoundly autistic or have more obvious or “severe” disabilities, there are possibilities, but for people like me there isn’t much. I’ll explain why… too healthy to receive a disability pension. Just like my mother died, one day my father will die and what will become of me. You are too healthy to have a disability pension, but when they interview you or see you, the specialist or psychologist notices and doesn’t take you. So what do they expect us to live on if I train, study, But I can’t earn a living because he doesn’t give me money.”He added.
Lorna also explained why she decided to tell about her diagnosis now: “My mother didn’t want me to tell because she said the world can be very cruel or discriminatory because it could hurt me, but because the doors weren’t open I too “I don’t think he’ll hurt me.”
“What makes me most angry is this I think parents of Asperger children hate us Asperger adults.. Because they have the fantasy that when their children grow up they will stop being children. And when they see that this is not the case, they blame us. But those who attack your children are other children. You don’t have to medicate the autistic person, you have to teach those who beat you not to do it,” she concluded.
