New Star Wars Series Coming to Disney+ on May 27
“Obi-Wan Kenobi”, new series from the “Star Wars” universe, won a new trailer this Wednesday (4), highlighting the Jedi of Ewan McGregor trying to adapt to the new reality, while continuing on a mission to outwit the Empire and its Inquisitors. In addition, a new poster was also released.
The preview also provides a first glimpse of the return of Darth Vadervillain reprized by Hayden Christensen. The video suggests that, knowing their former master is still alive, the Sith will focus their efforts on finding and avenging the Jedi who left them for dead in “Revenge of the Sith”. Watch:
Disney+ has made official the return of McGregor (“The Impossible”) as the Jedi Master who trained Anakin Skywalker (Christensen), and years later introduced Luke Skywalker knowledge of the Force. Fans’ celebration was inevitable after the announcement, as the star brought the character to life in the saga created by George Lucasbetween episodes I and III.
The cast of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” still has Moses Ingram (“The Queen’s Gambit”), Kumail Nanjiani (“The Eternals”), Indira Varma (“Exodus: Gods and Kings”), Rupert Friend (“Hitman: Agent 47”), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (“Straight Outta Compton: The Story of the NWA), Sung Kang (from the “Fast & Furious” franchise), Simone Kessel (“Reckoning: Settlement”) and Benny Safdie (“Pieces of a Woman”).

More details about the plot have not yet been released, as well as the number of episodes that will make up the series. After being delayed, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” arrives on Disney+ on May 27.
