Ideal to see in the middle of this extra large weekend, The signal It stands out from the group of productions that abound on streaming platforms. Not because it’s fascinating, but because It has a handful of virtues that make it attractive. It is funny. It arrived a few days ago on Netflix with the label on the forehead of being a German thriller miniseries, but the most interesting thing it offers is a network of links that seem to be in the background, but if you concentrate you can stay more with the background than with the trigger. Yes, There is suspense, but love, as the hit says, is stronger, always.

The starting point of the story is the possible death of an astronaut who traveled into space on a mission: Paula managed to return to the mainland, but a subsequent plane crash, from Chile to Germany, wiped her off the map. In a tale of two timelines, The signal goes from the preview of her journey, to the desperate search embodied by her husband, Sven (Florian David Fitz), and her little daughter, Charlie.in a wonderful work by the German actress Yuna Bennettof 10 years.

For all there are four episodes that last an hour -another of the qualities of this fiction is that it can be done as a marathon in two days (it could be done in one, but it is not advisable due to the density of some scenes)-, the camera constantly goes from sky to earth. And, in that coming and going, each of the three central characters leaves open your soul in the face of pain, fear, loyalty and risks.

As soon as the story begins, it’s clear that Paula and Sven are going all out the girl, who can only hear thanks to a cochlear implant. But, Thanks to some subtleties of the script, the girl is the one who knows how to listen best, even in silence. She and she is the owner of an intelligence that sometimes leads her to be more sensible than her father, immersed in sadness and desperation.

The official hypothesis on the accident suffered by the envoys on a mission into space does not close him, nor the spectators. Much less the girl, who tries to connect with her mother through certain transmission waves,

At this point it is advisable not to do so ruin as Charlie’s theory is, with all the senses of the skin.

This is the third series in which little Yuna Bennett, who is about to turn 11, works. This is the third series in which little Yuna Bennett, who is about to turn 11, works.

As the scenes pass, emotions intertwine as if in the shadows, while trying to follow the dictates of the screenplay, which tells of a ship that goes who knows where for months in search of revelations and returns full of mysteries. But if the viewer manages not to get caught up in trying to understand specifically scientific questions, You will have the chance to have fun with a familiar puzzle that is missing a piece. A piece that returns in the form of messages, memories, promises.

Before leaving and at various stages of her journey, Paula was able to leave puzzles and signs, as the title of the series indicates, and like those that the girl uses to make herself understood in the dark of disability, in between and in the brightness of love.
