The ride of 2024
On May 28, 2023, Iron Maiden kicked off their “The Future Past World Tour” with a concert in Ljubljana featuring a design inspired by a dystopian city of the future, topped with ramps of lights arranged in a pyramid shape.
Furthermore, for the first time, the band used additional screens placed symmetrically in the depth of the stage to present visualizations and music videos, deepening the three-dimensional effect.
The 33 shows on the European stage were commercial and artistic successes, with a record number of spectators. This phase ended with the group’s performance at the Wacken Open Air festival, where they headlined for the fourth time in their career. Drummer Nicko McBrain participated in the tour after suffering a stroke in January 2023.
On October 6, the band performed as one of the stars of the largest metal event in the United States called Power Trip Festival, which was seen by 100,000 people and became the largest festival headlining performance in the United States. In total, the 37 concerts held during “The Future Past World Tour 2023” attracted attention a million fans.
