The news was enough to make fans of Rick Riordan’s book series even more eager for the full cast to be revealed, as well as fueling their desire to finally be able to venture out again alongside Percy and the demigods. But after all, what are the most anticipated characters among the entire Percy Jackson and the Olympians series? We have selected X figures from the books that will soon come to life on screens again. Check it out:
1. Luke Castellan
Like Percy, Annabeth and Grover, the demigod son of Hermes, Luke Castellan, plays a huge role in the plot of Percy Jackson and The Olympians. He has always been described as an older character than the trio, with blond hair and a huge scar on his face. In the first film adaptation, Luke was played by Jake Abel.
2. Poseidon
Although he didn’t appear in the early adaptations, Poseidon is one of the most important gods in history for being Percy’s Olympian father. The god of the seas and oceans was described with black hair, a neatly trimmed black beard, a deep tan, and sea-green eyes creased with the sun. His style was very casual, where he wore leather sandals (called Birkenstocks), khaki Bermuda shorts and a Tommy Bahama shirt with coconuts and parrots, as well as a cap decorated with fishing lures.
3. Clarisse LaRue
The conflict between Clarisse and Percy at Camp Half-Blood is constant, although her image in the book comes across as more badass than in the movies, where she was played by Leven Rambin. Being the daughter of Ares, god of war, Clarisse is described as a large, tall girl with long, sticky light brown hair and brown eyes, and, according to Percy himself, she has the same smile as her father.
4. Nico and Bianca di Angelo
The di Angelo brothers only appear in the book series from “The Titan’s Curse”, but it’s not hard to imagine how they will both be inserted in the series when their story is introduced. Bianca is the older sister, described as a slim girl, of medium height, with dark silky hair and olive skin, being very similar to her mother, although her black eyes resemble her father’s. Her brother Nico doesn’t differ much in features from her, except perhaps that he always carries the aura of death and is constantly wearing black clothes.
5. Thalia Grace
The daughter of Zeus who met a tragic end and for years protected Camp Half-Blood with her pine tree is also one of the series’ most beloved characters. Thalia Grace is, like Percy, the daughter of one of the Big Three. Her appearance has always been described as punk-gothic, being that she has spiky shoulder-length black hair, electric blue eyes, freckles on her nose, as well as always wearing her leather jacket and a silver bracelet that transforms into her scary shield with Medusa’s head – a gift from your father.
6. The Olympians
Without the gods there would be no series, right? While Percy Jackson has hundreds of characters that could be named below, we need to talk about the Olympians and Titans that we look forward to seeing in action throughout the seasons. Among all, the ones that stand out the most throughout the series are Zeus, Hades, Hermes, Ares, Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis and Dionisio, better known as Mr. D in Rick Riordan’s world.
