Post-credits scene from final episode features new version of Oscar Isaac’s character
The fan theory was correct and Jake Lockley was presented as another personality of Marc Spectorcharacter lived by Oscar Isaac in “Moon Knight”. The post-credits scene of the last episode of the series confirmed what everyone expected, that Marc has other personalities that he himself is unaware of, including an even more violent version.
Warning, the text below contains spoilers for the latest episode of “Moon Knight”:
while fighting Harrow (Ethan Hawke), Marc suffered another blackout and when he regained consciousness, he realized that the place was not only totally devastated, but also almost killed the villain of the story. What happens at this time is not displayed, but left until Layla (May Calamawy) scared.
In the post-credits scene, we see a mysterious figure taking Harrow out of the psychiatric hospital and taking him to the limousine of Khonshu. There, the Egyptian god reveals that although Marc refused to kill him, another personality of his has no problem eliminating him. This is how we officially met Jake Lockley.
In the comics, Lockley is a taxi driver who roams the streets of New York, but who also serves as a personality who helps Marc investigate the criminal underworld. When he assumes the powers of Khonshu, he transforms into the Khonshu’s Fist and slays the moon god’s enemies brutally and effectively.
This final scene of the series leaves doors open for the story to continue with more episodes, but Oscar Isaac has already revealed that “Moon Knight” was conceived as a miniseries and should not win a second season.
