The announcer Cacho Fontana had to be hospitalized immediately in the last few hours due to a urinary tract infection that eventually worsened.
The famous radio and TV host’s hospitalization was confirmed by his own daughter, Antonella, in a dialogue with journalist Juan Etchegoyen, from Radio Miter. Fontana turned 90 on April 23.
The presenter, who is remembered by many others in his works of the television series Odol Question, is confined to Fernandez Hospital, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo. As reported in Clarion Ignacio Previgliano, medical director of Hospital Fernández, Fontana was affected by “sepsis secondary to urinary tract infection.” And he was stable and placed in a general room.
