The series has been officially renewed for a sixth season.
Netflix released this Friday (6) the official teaser for the fifth season of the phenomenon “Cobra Kai”, a series derived from “Karate Kid”, and confirmed that the new episodes will debut on streaming on September 7.
The preview shows the characters facing new conflicts, including Robby and Johnny going to Mexico to find Miguel. In addition to the first teaser, the show’s creators confirmed that “Cobra Kai” is officially renewed for a sixth season. Watch:
The series is set 34 years after the events of the “Karate Kid” franchise (the 1984 All Valley tournament) and follows the story of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), a failed alcoholic seeking redemption, by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai dojo, reigniting his rivalry with the now-successful, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who has struggled to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. miyagi.
The martial arts series created by Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossbergand healalso has a cast made up of Courtney Henggeler (“The Big Bang Theory”), Mary Mouser (“Criminal minds”), Tanner Buchanan (“The Fosters: Adoptive Family”), Ralph Macchio (“The Deuce”), Xolo Maridueña (“Parenthood”), Jacob Bertrand (“Player #1”) and more.
All four seasons of “Cobra Kai” are available on Netflix.
