The series will star Melissa Fumero, of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and Randall Park, of “WandaVision”
Netflix released this Thursday (5), the first image of “Blockbuster”, a comedy series about everyday life in the last unit of the remnant of the bankrupt video rental network.
The plot summary promises to show “what it takes—and, more importantly, who it takes—for a small business to succeed against all odds“.
The idea is that the conflict is about underdogs against an oppressive system. Ironically, the emergence of platforms for streaming contributed to the drop in sales of rental companies, causing the bankruptcy of many of them.
“Blockbuster” will feature the actors Tyler Alvarez (I never…), Madeleine Arthur (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) Olga Merediz (“In One Neighborhood of New York”), JB Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Kamaia Fairburn (“Overlord and the Underwoods”).
The image brings the protagonists Melissa Fumero (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) and Randall Park (“WandaVision”). Check out:
