It is never too late to discover and rediscover the Sutottos. The duo formed by Andrés Caminos and Gadiel Sztryk returned to the Buenos Aires billboard with Forgivenessa work that sees light after seven periods of its previous creation, Not stablewhere they sold the box offices and went halfway around the world.
The new material will have to wait for its premiere in Buenos Aires because, in between, the pandemic and surprised the actors on a tour of Spain. So, contrary to the usual, in Madrid, Barcelona and the Basque Country they saw the work then in Buenos Aires where it is now shown every Saturday in La Carpintería, the room of the Abasto.
Caminos and Sztryk not only act, but also wrote and directed this piece, like all the previous ones (this is the eighth), which explains how smooth and seamless the communication between them on stage is. The actors have known each other since 2005, they have studied together and they know how to take advantage of the game of similarities and differences, of the complementary contradictions that this work poses.

The two friends met again
Sa Forgivenessthe excuse was the reunion of two childhood friends who shot anecdotes and memories from more than two decades ago. However, as with the materials of this creative team, the action begins to branch out into the unpredictable and can reach the point of absurdity. That’s their trademark and the one the public will find that knows them.
This reunion of two former children who did not finish leaving their elementary school, becomes a dispute of egos, claims of the past and failures of the present. Thus, a word or a slight gesture can be interpreted with an absolutely crazy emotional and symbolic charge.
Traumas and thoughts from the past are mixed with emotions that have accumulated over the years and current situation. Everything the formerly almost idyllic is gone. But what caused the disease, is now an avalanche of blame and excessive reactions.

In the Sutottos, all presentation is a great symbiosis between humor and reflection coming out unexpectedly. The bodily work, the gestures and the words in the manner of the best clown, underline the futility of human existence, in which we laugh so as not to cry. And with the Sutottos, luckily, we were able to have a lot of laughs.
“For us, Humor is a way of talking about issues that concern us. We love that the people who come to us are having fun. We think that laughter is an emotion, just like crying, only that crying has better press ”, was the definition that they gave several years ago about their work and that is still valid.
In addition, so many years of synergy between the two have managed to define her style and give her more identity. From the time of the students shared in the theater until today, there have been many miles and miles of attempts, trials and tribulations resulting in a very clear, concise and powerful show.

Some of the naive nature of the characters brings out a portion of tenderness that, within seconds, changes and can be disturbing. But it doesn’t stop at being effective. Sa Forgiveness, a word strangely as difficult as badly spentthe Sutottos did so, through the impeccable remedy of humor, which resulted in a “thank you”, in the mouths of the spectators.
