It took 13 years of waiting, and at least seven postponements to the release date, but fans ofAvatar they will finally get their first look at the long -awaited sequel of the highest grossing feature film of all time.
A first trailer forAvatar : The Water Way went live on Monday morning. This mega-production with a budget of approximately one billion US dollars, according to its director James Cameron, pushing the limits of what cinema can do.
The film will be released on Dec. 16 in North America and should be followed by three other episodes of this legend, whose original film has generated about 3.6 billion Canadian dollars in revenue since its release in 2009.
Each new chapter will be an independent film from the others, with its own plot. The four episodes will not be part of a story arc, but when put together will represent a bigger epic sagasaid producer Jon Landau.
Unparalleled technology, according to Cameron
Before going on the internet, the trailer was first screened exclusively at the CinemaCon trade show in Las Vegas on April 27th.
