Kazuo Ishiguro’s work will be turned into a series by FX

Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield in “Never Leave Me”

“Never Abandon Me”, book by Kazuo Ishiguro, will be adapted again, but this time, for the serial format. According to Variety, the producers who turned the work into a movie in 2010, Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reichwill be executive producers of the project.

starring Carey Mulligan (“Beautiful Vengeance”), Keira Knightley (“Pride and Prejudice”) and Andrew Garfield (“Spider-Man: No Homecoming”), “Never Leave Me” accompanied the young Kathy, Ruth and Tommy. Childhood friends, they discover they are clones, created to be used as organ donors. As they wait for the day of their inevitable deaths, they spend their days navigating love, friendship and art.

The film was directed by Mark Romanek and scripted by Alex Garland. The miniseries will be released by the FX channel and the episodes will be written by Melissa Iqbalbest known for her work on “The Nevers”.

The cast and premiere date have not yet been announced by the network.
