Blumhouse’s LGBTQIA+ slasher “They/Them” starring Kevin Bacon will make its Peacock debut on August 5. The information is from The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be set in a conversion therapy camp. Several queer and trans campers join Owen Whistler (character from Kevin Bacon) for one week of programming.
As the camp’s methods become increasingly psychologically disturbing, the campers, working together for their own protection, encounter a mysterious killer who begins accumulating victims.
“They/Them”, is pronounced “They-Slash-Them”, and is written and directed by John Logan.
“I’ve loved horror movies for as long as I can remember, I think because monsters represent ‘the other’ and as a gay kid I felt a powerful sense of familiarity with those characters who were different, forbidden or forgotten.“, he said logan in a statement.
“I wanted to make a movie that celebrated homosexuality, with characters I never saw as a kid. When people walk out of the movie, I hope they remember the incredible love these kids have for each other and how that love needs to be protected and celebrated.”, he added.

The film’s cast includes Anna Chlumsky, Carrie Preston, Theo Germaine, Quei Tann, Austin Crute, Monique Kim, Anna Lore, Cooper Koch and Darwin del Fabro.
The film does not have a date to arrive in Brazil.
