The series stars Nicole Kidman and is available on Prime Video
“Nine Strangers” has been officially renewed for a second season by Hulu. According to Variety, the series starring Nicole Kidman will be able to compete in the dramatic categories of the next editions of the Emmys.
Based on the book of Liane Moriaty, the same author of “Big Little Lies”, “Nine Strangers” was conceived as a miniseries and is set in a secluded and luxurious retreat, far from all civilization, called Tranquillum House. The place is run by the spiritual guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman), which promises a complete transformation in the lives of guests, who arrive in search of self-knowledge and better mental health.
The plot presents nine characters, who have very different personalities, and end up living in the spa, willing to conquer their goals. However, throughout the day, they start to question the true intentions of that retreat and the healing methods used by Masha, who seems to hide great secrets.
Released in August 2021, the first season features Melissa McCarthy, Manny Hyacinth, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten and Tiffany Boone in the cast.
All episodes of the “Nine Strangers” series are available in the Prime Video catalog.
