Extended Versions of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Coming to HBO Max

In all, the three films directed by Peter Jackson are almost 12 hours long.

“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy with extra content will enter the HBO Max catalog – Disclosure / Warner Bros.

HBO Max announced on Monday (16) that the extended version of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, directed by Peter Jacksonwill enter your catalog on May 21.

The extended version of “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” are 11 hours and 22 minutes long. In all, 2 hours and 5 minutes of this time is just extra content, which includes new scenes and longer versions.

“The Return of the King”, the last film in the original trilogy, has 11 never-before-seen scenes and 11 extended scenes. This version of the feature is 4 hours and 11 minutes long.

The “Lord of the Rings” trilogy adapts the work of JRR Tolkien and tells the story of the hobbit frodowho must destroy the Ring to prevent the return of Sauron, the dark lord, who threatens to wipe out Middle-earth.
