Eric Clapton gave up positive of the coronavirus, as reported through his social networks, and had to suspend recitals he had scheduled for this week in Italy and Switzerland. The living legend of rock and blues, with 77 years old, repeatedly spoke out against vaccines and restrictionseven if it is still inoculated against Covid.

“Unfortunately, Eric Clapton suffers from Covid after being tested (and continue to be tested) positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall. His medical advisers told him that if he traveled again and played too early, it could delay his full recovery. Eric is also concerned to prevent the spread of any infection to any of his band, crew, promoters, his staff and of course the fans. “

It was therefore clarified that “after intense internal discussion, it was decided with great regret and apology to all concerned to postpone the performances in Zurich on May 17 and Milan on May 18, with the hope of continuing the tour. at concerts in Bologna on May 20 and 21 “.

It clarified that “shows will be rescheduled within the next six months and purchased tickets will remain valid for the new rescheduling date.”

“That is very frustrating avoiding Covid during lockdown and during which travel restrictions are appliedEric has succumbed to the virus at this time, but we hope he recovers enough to perform the rest of the planned performances over the weekend, ”the text concludes.

Vaccinated, but under protest

Clapton has been one of the musicians since the pandemic began protested against the mandatory sanitary pass on shows. Plus I was against the obligation to be vaccinated and the restrictions imposed on the movement of people.

This position can be seen, for example, in the song “This Has Gonna Stop” published in August 2021 in which he expressed his rejection of preventive health measures and the coronavirus vaccine.

“This has to stop, enough is enough. I can’t take this BS anymore. They’ve come a long way, they want to take over my soul. You’ll have to come and break down this door,” the iconic guitarist sings in opening lines of a song with skies of rhythm and blue.

The musician showed his anger at the official health measures by using the expression BS, which means “British Standard” and refers to the quality of that country’s stamp which is equivalent to our well -known IRAM stamp.

But it clearly also refers to discomfort you experienced when you received two doses of Astrazeneca. Because despite showing his rejection of the vaccine, Clapton was inoculated against Covid-19.

“I knew something was wrong / When you started laying down the law / I couldn’t move my hands, I was sweating / I wanted to cry, I couldn’t,” he sang in another excerpt of the song.

A few hours before, Clapton said he thought he would never be able to play again because of the pain he felt in his arm, after receiving the inoculation.

The song is accompanied by a video where there are animated images of groups of people sitting at a table making decisions, scales of justice leaning to one side, bombings informing and repressive people in the face of step restrictions.

All this led to a protest by citizens with signs saying “Freedom”, “Stop” and “Enough”.

Prior to this release, the legendary guitarist partnered with Van Morrison, another pandemic denierin his song Stand and Deliver, with a similar theme.

“I joined Van because he was dealing with steps and I thought, ‘Why isn’t anyone else doing this?’ .And no one else does it. ‘”

But like Morrison’s bias, many have crossed over to Clapton for his position against the vaccine, such as Brian May: “There are always side effects to any medication you take, but The cycle of saying that vaccines are an intent to kill you is absurd“, shot the Queen’s guitarist, without anesthesia.

Earlier this year, the former Cream came out to say that anyone who took the Covid vaccine was a victim of “mass training hypnosis.”

In an interview for the YouTube channel The Real Music Observer, the great Eric taught something like this “hidden subliminal messages in vaccination advertising” lead to people wanting or needing to get the prick.

“Very good. The theory of mass training hypnosis. And I can clearly see it. Once I started looking for it, I saw it everywhere. Then I remember I saw little things on YouTube that looked like subliminal advertising, ”the musician said.

Clapton added that he also stopped watching the news because of “one-way traffic around following the pandemic and because of following it,” which helped motivate him to music.
