Lady Gaga would have abandoned “Bullet Train” to star in “Casa Gucci”, says director – Disclosure / Universal Pictures

The director of “Bullet Train”, David Leitchrevealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly what Lady Gaga left the project to star in “Casa Gucci” as Patrizia Reggiani. According to him, it was not possible to reconcile all the recordings of his film with the star plus those of the biopic of Ridley Scott.

“It all came down to your schedule with Ridley’s movie [Scott]”explained Leitch. “There were brief arguments and then it wouldn’t work because she was getting ready for Ridley’s movie, [Casa] Gucci. They started running just before we did and it didn’t really work.”he concluded.

Despite mixed reception, Gaga was praised by critics and the public, winning awards for her performance, as well as nominations for major film awards, such as BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and SAG Awards. Her most recent work involved her in her musical roots for the “Top Gun: Maverick” soundtrack titled “Hold My Hand”.

ABOUT “BULLET TRAIN”

In the story inspired by the book “Maria Beetle”, by Kotaro Isaka, “Five assassins meet on a moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka, with only a few stops along the way. They discover that their missions are unrelated, but the question is, who will make it out of the train alive and well? what awaits them at the final station?”says the synopsis.

The cast is made up of Sandra Bullock (“Lost City”), Brad Pitt (“Eleven men and a secret”), Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”), Andrew Koji (“Warrior”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Eternal”), Michael Shannon (“The Man of Steel”), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“King’s Man: Inception”), Hiroyuki Sanada (“Mortal Kombat”), Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief”), Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2”), Masi ok (“Heroes”) and the singer bad bunny.

“Bullet Train” is scheduled to open in Brazilian cinemas on August 4th.
