“Mary’s Monster” Will Tell the Story of the Author of “Frankenstein”
Clara Rugaard (“I Am Mother”) and Harington Kit (“Game Of Thrones”) have been set to star in a new film about the life and circle of Mary Shelleythe famous author of the horror classic “Frankenstein”.
According to Deadline, “Mary’s Monster” will be a period film, but with contemporary touches. The plot will see the famous writer in a mental struggle to write her seminal novel. The Danish actress will play Mary Shelley and Harington will be “the monster”.
“Mary is seduced by her own inner monster that catapults her into a dangerous and destructive psychological romance. Realizing that the monster is inextricably linked to his own state of mind, his only path to salvation is to bring him to life.” says the official synopsis.
In addition to the duo, the cast Ferdia Walsh-Peelofrom “The Rhythm of the Heart”, playing Mary’s husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. The actor Sebastian de Souzafrom “Normal People”, will interpret Byron.
Filming on “Mary’s Monster” begins in June in the UK.
