Argentina Comic-Con: pop culture convention returns with two international visits

Two and a half years after the last face-to-face edition, the Argentina Comic-Conthe local international comic book convention that celebrates pop culture with attractions for the whole family.

From this Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd, at the Costa Salguero Center, there will be presentations, stands, shows, talks, workshops, film and television celebrities, exhibitions, video games, recreational experience, cosplay, contests, games for to the youngest and gastronomic measures

NetflixHBO Max, Warner, Paramount, StarzPlay are some of the most important movie studios and streaming platforms in the world that will attend the event to showcase all their new series and movies, offer exclusive activities and awesome stand filled of surprises.

Exclusive international and national presentations will take place on the main stage of the convention, with star panels (virtual and face-to-face), news and a “Star Wars Parade”. There will also be cosplay shows and contests. All of these activities can be accessed using a general ticket.

As for the panels, it is worth mentioning that the second season of rooster daythe Argentine HBO Max series starring Angela Torres (Week 22), with the dubbing actors behind villains Thanos and Mufasa, from The lion king; and the virtual panel is turned on The basementa StarzPlay science fiction miniseries with Ana Claudia Talancón and Alberto Guerra.

The “Main Stage” is outdoors and has innovative technology: over 180 square meters of LED screens, simultaneous subtitles and an amazing range of lights, sounds and effects. Here they will perform What happened yesterday, Diego Mizrahi, Guada Stivala and Limón.

The two international visits

As with any event designed for fans, the main attraction of any Comic-Con is the Meet & Greet with figures from emblematic or recently successful series and films.

In this new edition of Argentina, there will be two international presences: the American Robert Patrick, the villainous robot from Terminators 2; and the Spanish Itziar Ituño, from the series The Money Heist.

Patrick, the actor who played the T-1000 machine in James Cameron’s legendary film, will be on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st taking photos and signing autographs with fans with a premium access. He will also participate in panels over the three days of the event.

The current star of the series peacemaker (HBO Max), in which he plays August Smith/White Dragon, also became Agent Doggett The secret X filein addition to playing secondary roles in large productions such as The sopranos, Real blood Y Johnny & June – Passion and Madness.

As for the Basque actress, known for her role as inspector Raquel Murillo (Lisbon) in the popular Spanish Netflix series – which recently came to the long -awaited finale – she will be part of Argentina Comic -Con for the first time. .

Ituño will be present on Saturday 21 with Meet & Greet activities, photos and autograph signings with his fans, and will participate in panels the same day on the main stage.

Memorabilia, live drawing, cosplay and food

Lovers of all kinds of memorabilia will find an infinity of products at more than 100 stands on display at the Costa Salguero Center. There will be, among other things, premium and collectible items, official items from the series and movies, retro toys, works of art and souvenirs.

For action figure collectors and geeks, major collectible companies host shows and displays of premium sculptures and figures of favorite characters. Some of those characters will hang out around the ACC offering a chance to say hello and take a picture with them.

For lovers of comics, cartoons and anime, there will be more than 300 professional cartoonists and illustrators drawing live. There will also be representatives of the audiovisual component, along with directors, screenwriters and actors in the talks, and the sculptors and gimmick performers live.

Another attraction of any Comic-Con in the world is the number and variety of attendees with costumes, accessories and costumes of characters from popular culture, the so-called Cosplays.

From Batman to Goku, hundreds of the universe’s most famous cosplayers meet over the three days of the ACC, and they can participate in three contests, one for each day of the convention. The inscriptions are the same days at the event, in the “Cosplay Zone” sector.

Finally, Argentina Comic-Con also offers a large number of gastronomic stalls with a wide variety of options, with exclusive products and menus, other themes. There will also be vegetarian and vegan alternatives.
