Ben Schwartz, the voice of Sonic, said he is excited about the future of the franchise.
“Sonic 3” doesn’t even have a release date but it’s already getting hype from the film franchise’s main actor, Ben Schwartzwhich makes the voice of the blue hedgehog.
In an interview with The Playlist, Schwartz praised “Sonic 2”, and spoke of how proud he is that the general public is enjoying his voice work, something he has been doing for 17 years.
“It’s very emotional and surreal. I’ve been doing voiceovers since 2005, so it’s really exciting that something I’ve done in the voice over world is starting to catch on with people and people are getting excited about it.”, commented.
“In [‘Sonic 2’], we rock so hard, and in ‘3’, it’s going to be crazy, it’s going to be crazy! Can not wait”, he stated excitedly.
The plot of “Sonic 2” shows the villain Dr. robotnik (Jim Carrey) returning from his exile on a distant planet after finding “the source of all power“. But he is not alone… the Dr. has the company of knuckleswho proves to be an opponent worthy of the title character.
The film has received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It also became the highest-grossing film in the United States based on a game.
