Australian actress Margot Robbie will star in a prequel to the comedy the big scamdeveloped by production company Warner Bros. The idea was that the new film was set in Europe in the 1960s.

Robbie is attached to star in the project, which has not yet been confirmed, but is in development from a script by newcomer Carrie Solomon. Shooting plans have been announced for the first half of 2023according to the specialized site The Hollywood Reporter.

Jay Roach will be the director of the franchise’s new film started in 2001 by the prestigious Steven Soderbergh. Roach will be reunited with Robbie after working together The Scandal (Bombshell)in 2019. Three years later came the first sequel, with Twelve of the oceanwith the same cast, also joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Don Cheadle and Bernie Mac. Later, a new episode of the legend was released, Ocean’s thirteenthwith common stars and new figures: Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin.

In 2018, it will be the turn of Ocean 8, the same story based on the remake, but with an all-female cast consisting of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Awkwafina, and Helena Bonham Carter. The producers were director and star of the previous three installments Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney.

Margot Robbie, who will be 32 in July, has forged a career in Hollywood with her personality getting attention with every project she will join.
