New episodes of the series arrive on Amazon Prime Video from the 3rd of June
Eric Kripkehead producer of the Prime Video series “The Boys”, revealed, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, that a specific moment of the controversial Herogasm ended up not being adapted in the 3rd season.
In the original story, Soldier Boy, in a desperate attempt to join the Seven, is convinced to have intimate relations with Homelander, only to later hear that “not good enough”.
“I love that scene, and it’s hilarious in the comics, but for different reasons, which will be revealed throughout the season, we’ve decided not to adapt it. We talked about it, and it conflicted with a lot of other things that we were trying to build with Soldier Boy. So, unfortunately, it had to be discarded.”
Even so, krypke assured that there are extreme situations in the Herogasm episode, so much so that some fans must be heartbroken:
“One thing we’ve managed to do is make it genuinely emotional, there are heartbreaking scenes in that orgy. If there’s one thing ‘The Boys’ does well, it’s breaking your heart in the middle of an orgy!”he said.
According Jensen acklesthe long-awaited orgy between heroes, dubbed “Herogasm” and which should be the theme of the sixth episode of the new season, was something traumatizing for the entire team working on the sequel.
“Herogasm is something that a lot of people are excited to see. I know I was really curious how it would work. And even the director said, ‘I don’t know what I’m filming anymore.’ Our crew seemed traumatized.” declared an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.
The series’ third season episodes will arrive on Amazon Prime Video starting June 3rd. Its two predecessors are still available on the streaming.
