Young British star Millie Bobby Brown is ready to start shooting a new film, maiden, directed by Spanish Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, a few days before the premiere of the fourth season of strange thingsthis Friday, May 27th.

Filming will begin in the next few days in the historic town of Sortelha, in northern Portugal, and it will be a Netflix production. The streaming platform announced the young actress ’participation in the fantasy film that will be part of the 2023 premieres.

The 18-year-old actress plays as Eleven in the popular series strange thingsis already in Portugal and has published some photos on social networks with his partner, Jake Bongiovi, son of singer Jon Bon Jovi.

Brown, 18, is also a star and executive producer maidenof which Fresnadillo, was nominated for an Oscar for short handcuffedwill feature a script by Dan Mazeau (similar to Wrath of the Titans). In the film, the actress will play as Elodie, a princess who trusts that she will marry Prince Henry but discovers that she will be sacrificed and offered to a dragon. This is how the character’s adventures begin.

Some of the names that have emerged that Brown will join the cast include Robin Wright, the actress known for her work on House of Cards, The protégé Y Forrest Gump, among many others. Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo, who recently participated in the second season of The flight attendant.

Sortelha authorities announced restrictions in June, in various parts of that village, to facilitate Netflix filming of this film. Sortelha, one of Portugal’s twelve “Historic Villages,” is a frontier town of medieval foundations that still retains original structures, such as its castle, built at the beginning of the 13th century.

Filming of the film starring Millie Bobby Brown will also take place in other historic places in Portugal, such as the Batalha Monastery and Convent of Christ, according to some local media reports.

Sortelha is preparing to be the natural setting for new film projects, thanks to its unique features, as scheduled for October for the film Zechariahset in the 20th century, by Mozambique’s João Nuno Pinto.
