The project will be led by Jon Watts, director of “Spider-Man: No Return Home”
The Star Wars Celebration panel announced this Thursday (26) that the actor Jude Law (Dumbledore from “Fantastic Beasts”) will star in “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”, the new TV series in the intergalactic saga, which will be produced by Jon Watts (“Spider-Man: No Homecoming”).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will be set in the New Republic era, after “Return of the Jedi” and before “The Force Awakens”.
In “Skeleton Crew”, formerly called “Grammar Rodeo”, we will see a group of children who find themselves lost in the galaxy and desperately seek their way home.
The idea is that the premise is inspired by Amblin films of the 1980s, such as “The Goonies”. There are still no details about the role of law in the plot.
The series will take a lighter approach than “The Mandalorian” and plot details have not been released. The production is looking for children between the ages of 11 and 12 for the cast.
“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” will have Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni as producers, and is expected to arrive on Disney+ in 2023.
