Jon Favreau, producer of “Mandalorian”, confirmed that he is already writing the new episodes
With the third season of “The Mandalorian” already confirmed, the show’s producer, Jon Favreau told in an interview with CinemaBlend who is already writing the episodes of the fourth year of the production belonging to the “Star Wars” universe.
“On television, we’re lucky that we don’t have to rush things. We can tell stories slowly, instead of in 1:30, 2:00. Now, while Dave [Filoni] is doing Ahsoka, the content of that show is affecting my scripts for season 4 [de The Mandalorian]. It’s a very precise process.”explained favreau to the website.
As for crossover opportunities, which fans might see in the near future, the exec explained that the determinations are being made entirely organically at this point, and that’s an interesting thing that has developed since the beginning of “The Mandalorian.”
“When I was writing the first season of ‘Mandalorian’, I could do anything, put it anywhere. Dave [Filoni] I read, we went back and forth, I adjusted. She was. Now we have to find out why there are certain Mandalorians who wear helmets, others who don’t, what is going on in Mandalore, what is Bo-Katan doing at the time? How does she feel about this? Where is the Darksaber? So that really creates a very fertile ground for the imagination, for storytelling.”completed Jon.
The plot of “The Mandalorian” takes place five years after “Return of the Jedi”, “following the mishaps of a lone gunfighter in the far reaches of the Galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic”.
The cast includes the names of Werner Herzog (“The Bear Man”), Gina Carano (“Deadpool”), Nick Nolte (“Warrior”) and Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”). Jon Favreau (“Iron Man 1 and 2”) is in charge of production and script, with the direction of Filoni (“Star Wars Rebels”).
And speaking of spin-offsthe series has already won a derivative, “The Book of Boba Fett”, responsible for following the adventures of the famous bounty hunter, Boba Fett (temuera Morrison), who regained his costume in the events of “The Mandalorian”. At the end of the series starring Pedro Pascalthe character becomes the new boss of the galaxy’s smugglers.
The first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” and the first year of “The Book of Boba Fett” are available on Disney+.
