“Sonic 2” already has a date to arrive on digital platforms; know when

Paramount Home Entertainment announced that “Sonic 2 – The Movie” will be available on digital platforms from June 1, in Brazil.

“Sonic 2 – O Filme” can be purchased or rented on the following digital platforms: Apple TV, Google Play and Microsoft Store; and will only be available for rent on Claro TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Sky, Apple TV, Google Play, Vivo Play, Oi and Microsoft Store.

Those who purchase the film will have access to an animated short of almost an hour long, with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, entitled “Sonic Drone Home”.

The plot of the sequel shows the villain Dr. robotnik (Carrey) returning from his exile on a distant planet after finding “the source of all power“. But he is not alone… the Dr. has the company of knuckleswho proves to be an opponent worthy of the title character.

Check out the official synopsis: “After staying in Green Hills, Sonic wants to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test will come with the return of Dr. Robotnik, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald with the power of destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they will embark on a journey across the world to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.”.

The cast still has Idris Elba (“Revenge & Punishment”), as knuckles; Ben Schwartz (“Leslie’s Confusion”), such as the Sonic; James Marsden (“Enchanted”), Natasha Rothwell (“Wonder Woman 1984”) and the participation of Colleen O’Shaughnessey (“Naruto”) dubbing tails.

In February of this year, Paramount took the opportunity to confirm the production of “Sonic 3”, in addition to a series starring knucklesvoiced by Elba, who will continue as the character’s voice in the series. No date has yet been set for both productions.
