Amazon production arrives in the streaming catalog in June
“The Summer That Changed My Life”, a Prime Video series that adapts the homonymous book by Jenny Hanwon a new one released this Tuesday (31).
In the preview, Belly (Lola Tung), a 16-year-old girl, finds herself romantically involved with two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Spending the summer at their mother’s house, she finds herself in the middle of an unexpected and troubled love triangle.
In the cast are the actors Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott.
Recently, Amazon announced a deal with Jenny Han, from the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” book series, which gave rise to Netflix’s teen romance trilogy. The new partnership foresees more adaptations of the author’s stories on screen, both for films and for television series.
In addition to Jenny Han (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”), screenwriter Gabrielle Stantonfrom “Grey’s Antomy” also acts as showrunner. The series premieres June 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
