The Rolling Stones have started their new tour in Spain. The SIXTY Tour with which celebrate their 60 years of experience kicked off and devastated Wanda Metropolitano de Madrid.

Viewers of all ages were thrilled for just over two hours with the classic Saxon rock and roll storm. Despite the years, the live band is as energetic and emotional as in all of its history. The stones they are the perfect manual of what a rock show should be like.

Even with the absence of the unforgettable Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards always have reasons to toast, keep shooting and make their living legend bigger. The secret of the group’s validity and longevity lies precisely in its own unalterable spirit and not looking back to contemplate the past. Nostalgia is not in your DNA.

Eternal and relaxed teenagers

jagger is an eternal teenager that does not stop its march. At 78 he runs with his inimitable feline stride, spitting out stanzas along the wide catwalks practically without moving.

Richard (77) enjoy the great smiling banquet, relaxed. He shoots his riffs and enjoys each intertwining with his soul brother: the other eternal teenager, Ron Wood who celebrated live and on stage his “young” 75. At the time of the introductions, a shower of sheets of paper covered his figure while the traditional happy birthday was sung.

Together are the Rolling Stones, the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Like it or not, it’s thrilling to see them age with dignity, leaving behind an incomparable legacy.

The years pass and weigh. However, it doesn’t seem to affect them. Trends come and go, the Stones stay. All time. Eternally. God’s work or covenant with the devil.

The fact is that Rolling Stones version 2022 will continue to storm the city of the day, in a new European tour of 14 dates who will lead his rock circus after 60 years of travel, uniting generations in a single heart shaped like a tongue.

How did the Madrid show go

The evening started shortly after 10pm. images of the remembered Charlie Watts and his unmistakable drum sound and immediately ignited the fire with the chords of Street fighting man. The band took to the stage after opening guests: Vargas Blues Band and Sidoney.

Jagger greeted with a nice “Hello Madrid”, to give way 19th nervous breakdownone of the first pleasant surprises of the night they hit sad sad sad who haven’t played in a long time.

The song list is a kind of cataract of classics, a set full of the ones that everyone knows: (I can’t get no) Satisfaction, Sympathy for the devil, Honky Tonk Women, Jumping Jack Flash, Gimme Shelter, Tumbling says, TE Echo de menos, You can’t always get what you want, Paint it black Y start me.

Of course, Keith’s two were added, who fortunately never fail in this case Happy Y slipping away and some new ones like the one celebrated ghost city.

Parents, children and grandchildren

There is an audience of all generations. Many are thrilled to see the soundtrack of their lives live, others experience that feeling for the first time. And there they are, in their “office” enjoying their faithful habitat which is the stage, that place where they own everything.

The scenario is simple, yet attractive and colorful, with a single central walkway, two sides and a transparent LED screen behind so as not to lose details and two on each side. There are no lighting accessories. Not even the fireworks. It’s them and their eternal rock and roll brand Rolling Stones.

Jagger plays football classic Real Madrid and mentions Real and Aleti, which causes the euphoric reaction of their fans.

Separate paragraph for the hellish version of Midnight trampthe blues ode is perhaps the most epic and unbeatable moment of the show it looks like it came out of a seedy Chicago bar.

Suddenly, Madrid is permeated by Club 54 with the first bars of TE Echo de menos. The stadium becomes a huge New York nightclub and Darryl Jones demonstrates why he has been playing with the Stones since ’94. The mass is moved by the stainless riff of start methat opens the doors to that cataract of super shots.

The first date of the 60s begins to lower the blinds, although obviously the encores are missing. And the band returns for the classic Gimme Shelterwhich immediately brings Jagger to center stage to get what we all need: more satisfaction.

The lights go out once again and the hearts of all present light up. It is the farewell, the grateful greeting marks the end and a gigantic Thank you appears on the screen. The curtain falls, but only for tonight. They will continue to spin. At least from bands like the stainless Rolling Stones, rock and roll is still in good health and fans continue to love that they never stop.
