Doja Cat leads the nominations at the Black Entertainment Awards

Singer-rapper Doja Cat leads nominations for the 2022 BET Awards with a total of six nominations, including Best Female R & B / Pop Artist and Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.

Doja Cat dominated the music categories at the Black Television Entertainment Network’s annual awards, with a nomination for Album of the Year for Planet song shein addition to nominations for best R&B / Pop artist and hip hop artist.

His duet with SZA, Kiss me more, is the video of the year and the best collaboration. Doja Cat was also nominated for a BET Her Award for her famous album Woman.

Followed by Ari Lennox and Drake with four nominations each, while Baby Keem, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson’s band .Paak), Chlöe, Future, HER, Jazmine Sullivan, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Mary J. Blige and Tems, who garnered three nominations each.

The four nominations for Lennox include Best Female R&B Pop Artist; an offer for his appointment Not fair with Summer Walker; more Video of the Year and BET Her for their song tight.

The nominated for dragons includes the best male hip hop artist. Best Collaboration and Video of the Year for Way 2 Sexy, with Future and Young Thug; and album of the year for Certified lover boy.

The BET Awards

The BET Awards were created in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to recognize African Americans and other ethnic minorities who excel in music, sports and entertainment. The prizes are awarded annually during a ceremony which is broadcast live on BET.

The awards, which honor “Black creative expression and excellence in music, television, film and sport, will be presented at the 2022 BET Awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on Sunday 26 June from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Taraji P. Henson will host.

The nominations were selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is made up of entertainment professionals working in the fields of music, television, film, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, influencers and the creative arts.
